Wing Shooting: Paradise Ducks, Geese & Swan Our area holds hundreds of black Swans which can be hunted over decoys or jump shot. They are resident birds and are hunted most of the year. We shoot paradise ducks from May through July. We use No. 2 and 4 in lead shot. Please be certain that your guide is aware that you wish to bird shoot, as it is necessary to buy a license, one of the few necessary in NZ which is approx $50US. The New Zealand Bird season starts May 7.
Small Game including, New Zealand Possum, Wallaby, and Hares can be hunted during your hunt or after you harvest your trophy animal for an additional $200 a day
Boar, Goat, & Ram may be harvested on any hunt for the listed trophy fee.
Wing shooting, small game, and fishing can be added to any of our hunts. We also have special fin, fur, and feather combo hunts that include all the small game of New Zealand.
